Laurie Berkner
Laurie Berkner

Coronavirus hasn’t stopped creatives like Laurie Berkner from sharing their talents. The popular children’s musician, like artist Mo Willems, author Dan Gutman and voice of Frozen’s Olaf Josh Gad, are hitting social media to educate and entertain kids from home.

The New Jersey-raised Berkner will be hosting free “Berkner Break” concerts most weekdays at 10 am on her Facebook page. There’ll be a variety of songs, movement, stories and more aimed at helping families create a new routine amid social distancing. Berkner will perform hits like “We Are The Dinosaurs” and “Waiting For The Elevator.”

The music doesn’t begin and end with Berkner Break concerts, either. Each weekday on social media, Berkner will post songs for Berkner Breakfast at 7 am, an afternoon Berkner Break at 3 pm and Berkner Bedtime at 7 pm.

Over on her YouTube channel, you’ll find 50-minute educational music videos, too. The video compilation features more than 20 music videos on topics like telling time, emotions, counting, the alphabet and more. If you’ve been taking advantage of Audible’s free Audible Stories, your lil’ ones will be happy to know Berkner has her own Audible Original Series called Laurie Berkner’s Song and Story Kitchen.

If your kids want to pursue their own music passions, they can try Rockness Music’s free virtual classes.
