Dino fans, get ready for a new prehistoric adventure in NJ this fall! The Monmouth Museum is bringing Dinosaurs: Fossils Exposed, an interactive exhibit that brings prehistoric creatures to life. You’ll get up close with six full dinosaur skeletal molds that you can actually touch, along with molds of skulls, arms, legs, eggs, and footprints. It’s a hands-on experience that brings these ancient giants right to your fingertips!
There is also a paleontological dig in the exhibit where you can search for fossils.
There will guided tours, educational workshops and a special museum fundraiser; in addition to a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, holiday events and New Year’s Eve.
Dinosaurs: Fossils Exposed is brought to the Monmouth Museum by the Museum of Discovery, Little Rock, AK. The exhibit will run in the Main Gallery from September 7 through January 2, 2025; hours are Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.
The museum is located on the campus of Brookdale Community College in Lincroft. The museum features two galleries with rotating exhibits, and two children’s wings, plus beautiful garden spaces. General daily admission for visitors ages 2-64 is $14 per person.
