Students in Cranford will get to see history firsthand when a U.S. Navy helicopter comes to their school next week.
On May 20, a Navy Seahawk (MH-60S) will land on the athletic field at Hillside Avenue School, just days before Memorial Day weekend. Members of Cranford VFW Post 335 will join students, staff and the community in honoring military personnel. Kids will get to check out the cockpit and ask any questions they want about military life, aviation careers and airline safety.
Hillside Avenue School is located at 125 Hillside Ave. in Cranford. The helicopter will land around 10 am and leave by noon.
