Since the novel coronavirus has forced schools to close and cancel graduation ceremonies, celebrities and businesses, like Krispy Kreme, have been stepping up to help the Class of 2020 find new ways to celebrate.

Known for their hot, sweet donuts, Krispy Kreme is offering a free 2020 Graduate Dozen on Tuesday, May 19. The donuts will be available from May 18-24, but graduates will only have one day to get them for free.

The 2020 Graduate Dozen includes an assortment of favorites like chocolate iced kreme filled, strawberry iced kreme filled, cake batter filled, chocolate iced with sprinkles, strawberry iced with sprinkles and yellow iced original glazed donuts.

If your graduates want to sink their teeth into those (free) sugary donuts, all they have to do is visit a participating Krispy Kreme with one of the following items:

  • Cap and gown with 2020 tassel
  • Class of 2020 apparel (t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc.)
  • 2020 letterman jacket featuring senior status
  • 2020 class ring
  • Graduation announcement featuring name with matching ID
  • Student photo ID featuring senior status
  • Other Class of 2020 senior swag

The deal is only available while supplies last and high school or college seniors must be physically present to redeem. Krispy Kreme has NJ locations in Collingswood, East Rutherford, East Springfield and Jersey City.

Before your seniors grab their donuts, they can catch Facebook’s virtual commencement address on Friday, May 15, with keynote speaker Oprah Winfrey. The commencement will also feature words from Awkwafina, Jennifer Garner, Lil Nas X, Simone Biles and others, plus a performance of “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus.

On Saturday, May 16, former president Barack Obama will also deliver a televised primetime commencement address titled “Graduate Together: America honors the High School Class of 2020” along with LeBron Hames, Malala Yousafzai and Ben Platt on ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC at 8 pm.
