Something sweet is coming to Bergen County next week. The long-awaited East Rutherford Krispy Kreme is opening its doors on March 10. It’s the beloved chain’s fourth standalone NJ shop, joining locations in Collingswood, Jersey City and Springfield.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the town’s mayor is slated for 11 am, according to northjersey.com. After that, customers can file in for a famous original glazed doughnut, a frozen caramel latte or a decadent hot chocolate for the kids, among many other tasty options. Krispy Kreme’s doughnuts are famous for always being hot and fresh, fried rather than baked and beyond fluffy. We personally love the mini donuts, which are the perfect size for kids and snacking.
The store was approved a year ago and covers 3,200 square feet in Liberty Commons Plaza on Route 17. It’ll also have a drive-thru, perfect for when you want to grab a morning coffee without getting the kids in and out of the car.
This opening comes on the heels of a fun Leap Day deal run by the chain, which offered health professionals and parents five dozen glazed doughnuts on the house if they shared a post on Instagram or Twitter of their Leap Day baby with the hashtag #KrispyKremeSpecialDelivery.
The store is located at 51 Rte. 17 S. in East Rutherford. See the rest of the menu here.
