When one kid wants to go to the arcade, another wants to wander through an escape room, and a third wants to try something new, like a game show, where do you go? Bam Kazam at American Dream, which opens this weekend, has all three.
There are more than a dozen different rooms that combine Hollywood-caliber set design with special effects and gaming technology. Kids can try physical challenges like hopping around a floor of lava or dodging ancient temple mechanisms; or trying out mental challenges like commanding a malfunctioning space station.
Bam Kazam was created by Victor Blake, the founder and CEO of America’s first escape room company.
Your ticket grants you two-hour access so you can explore at your own pace. You should come with a group of 2 to 6 players, all of whom must be 14 or older and can play without adult supervision.
Bam Kazam opens at American Dream in East Rutherford on June 27. During opening week, specials include 20 percent off for groups of four or more, VIP behind-the-scenes tours with the creative team, and entry into the “Founding Adventurer” annual pass contest for the first 500 customers.
