Last week, Hasbro introduced the first Planet Playskool on the planet, featuring classic games like Mouse Trap, Tinkertoys, Play-Doh, Lite Brite and Spirograph, brought to life in play areas at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus.
On June 26, a 41,500-square-foot entertainment center will open at American Dream in East Rutherford, where games like Trivial Pursuit, Clue and more will be brought to life in a big way.
The Gameroom Powered by Hasbro includes G.I. Joe Battle Station laser tag, where up to 28 players can battle together; and Ultimate Rollergames, where classic games and toys like Transformers, Battleship, Candy Land and Monopoly will also be featured and up to six people can compete in each game.
There’s an arcade area as well, and it will include nostalgic and current games.
Appetizers, entrees and desserts will be served at Gameroom Eats, a full-service restaurant, including a cute Hungry Hungry Kiddos menu for children. There’s a bar for adults. And the desserts at the Candy Land Shake Bar are all Insta-worthy. Private rooms are available for special events, too.
The Gameroom Powered by Hasbro is located at American Dream, 1 American Dream Way, East Rutherford. Opening hours for June 26 are 11 am to 9 pm. Hours vary per day. Ticket information is not yet available.
