Join the Old Barracks Museum for its yearly celebration of Trenton’s revolutionary role in America’s history. The Colonial Ball will take place on Friday at the Masonic Temple: mingle with historically outfitted reenactors and dance to the sounds of colonial America. The Battles of Trenton Reenactments will be held on Saturday at 11 am at the Battle Monument and at 3 pm in Mill Hill Park: follow the soldiers as they march out to fight on the original battlefields. “The Trouble with Trenton” interactive puppet shows, presented by Tuckers Tales, will also be held on Saturday at Warren Street Plaza as a family-friendly “mini” look at American history. The Old Barracks will hold musket demonstrations on Thursday and Friday as part of museum admission.

Middlesex County’s sports connections include the first-ever college football game played between Rutgers University and Princeton University and professional athletes and Olympians, Paralympians, and Special Olympians. The exhibit features items from Rutgers University, Middlesex College, several high schools, and individuals. You will see high school trophies from the 1930s to the present, NFL golden footballs for pro athletes, balls from the highest-scoring high school athletes, uniforms from the 1930s to the present, and more.
