There are street fairs, food truck fests, outdoor music concerts and craft festivals taking place all month

WARREN COUNTY FARMERS FAIR

From street fairs to food fests to craft fairs, there are plenty of outdoor festivals filled with food, shopping, rides and games taking place this month throughout New Jersey.

August 1

Farm Fun Day: Lammas/Lughnasadh Festival
Cherry Grove Farm, Lawrenceville
Celebrate the beginning of the harvest during the ancient festival of Lammas/Lughnasadh. There will be farm market vendors, hayrides, milking of the cows, corn dolly and greeting card crafts, a ballet story, a dance demo, yoga for adults, and lots of ice cream.

August 1-2

Warren County Farmers’ Fair & Balloon Festival
1350 Strykers Rd., Phillipsburg
After watching the hot air balloons launch you can head to the Demolition Derby and Rafter Z Rodeo. Traditions include an arts expo, kids’ corral, 4-H shows, free concerts by local bands, the garden tractor pull and a beer garden.

NEW JERSEY STATE FAIR / SUSSEX COUNTY FARM AND HORSE SHOW

August 1-9

Sussex County Farm & Horse Show (New Jersey State Fair)
New Jersey State Fair, Augusta
Free activities include fire dances, The Human Slinky, a cycle circus, a performing arts tent, a circus act, hot dog pig races, Oscar the Robot, flying K9s and freehand custom carving demos. Additional fees apply for bull riding, demolition derby, monster truck show, championship pulling series and truck pulling. Children’s Day is Tuesday.

PEDDLER’S VILLAGE / Safari in Sand

August 1-31

Safari in Sand
Peddler’s Village, Lahaska, PA
There will be a spectacular display of safari-themed sand sculptures, both large and small, that you can admire while walking around the shops and restaurants.

August 2

Fort Lee Artisan Night Market
Fort Lee Commons, Fort Lee
Local makers will sell fashion and accessories, jewelry, beauty and bath products, fine art and photography, pet products, home decor, kids’ items, artisanal foods, and more.

Artisan Market 
Bergen Town Center, Paramus
Take a stroll through this market in the mall, featuring 25+ artisans and vendors selling handcrafted jewelry, home decor, pet products, sweet treats, handmade gifts and more.

Olde Freehold Day
Lake Topanemus, Freehold Borough
The day will begin with a brief ceremony honoring Freehold Borough’s veterans. Then there will be live music, food trucks, a beer garden, a vendor marketplace, an art show, a climbing wall, a dunk tank, canoeing and paddleboats, and a Kid Play Zone with a petting zoo and inflatables.

August 2-3

Boardwalk Craft Show
Wildwoods Boardwalk, Wildwood
Rain or shine, “the boards” of the boardwalk will be lined with tents and booths of vendors selling handcrafted jewelry, home decor, unique artwork and other beach-themed treasures.

The annual peach-themed festival will feature a variety of treats, lots of fresh peaches, live entertainment, activities, summer sidewalk sales, and giant sand sculptures. Family activities will include a mobile escape room, a gel blaster battlefield, face painting, gem mining, lawn games, axe throwing and sand art.

August 4-8

Salem County Fair
Salem County Fairgrounds, Woodstown
For animal lovers, there will be a horse arena, horse barn, poultry barn, rabbit barn, beef bar, sheep and swine barn, goat tent and livestock arena. Check out the farm machinery, tractor pull area and skillet throw area. Sign up for the home economics, tablescaping, pig scramble or cast iron skillet throwing contests.

August 4-10

Middlesex County Fair
Middlesex County Fairgrounds, East Brunswick
There will be a home arts show, vendors and exhibits. Even more fun are the racing, chainsaw carving, horses, magic show, comedy, puppets, jugglers and stilt walker.

August 6-8

Somerset County 4-H Fair
North Branch Park, Bridgewater
The fair has been going on for more than 75 years. The 4-H clubs showcase their work, local businesses and entertainment can support the youth, and families can eat, play, go on rides and check out all the displays.

August 6-10

Township of Ocean Italian Festival
Joe Palaia Park, Oakhurst (Ocean Twp.)
The Italian American Association of the Township of Ocean presents its 49th annual festival featuring lots of Italian food, games, rides – and fireworks on Friday night.

August 7-23

Hamilton Arts Festival
The Great Falls Center, Paterson
The 2025 lineup includes film screenings, an artist showcase and theatrical productions designed to showcase the works of underrepresented artists from the performing arts and other disciplines.

August 8-9

Atlantic County 4-H Fair
Atlantic County 4-H Fairgrounds, Mays Landing
The attractions here include a car show, a baby parade, a pet parade, open mic, a pie-eating contest, a watermelon-eating contest, rides and a chicken BBQ.

August 9

Chester Summer Food Truck & Music Festival
Chester Municipal Field, Chester
Sixteen gourmet food trucks will be selling tacos, wings, cupcakes, empanadas and more. There will be a beer and sangria garden; live music by River Hawk, Country Comfort and Rosewood; and kids’ activities like mini golf, a bounce house, a rock wall and face painting.

Hermitage Museum Outdoor Art & Craft Fair
Hermitage Museum, Ho-Ho-Kus
Check out the creations of more than 70 talented artists in an open-air setting on the tree- shaded front lawn of this historic site. Items will include watercolors, pottery, ceramics, fiber, jewelry, charcuterie boards, apparel, train station prints, florals, photography, chainsaw animals, jeweled utensils, pressed flower and sea glass art, mixed media, candles, soaps, children’s items, wood flags and signs, home décor and stained glass.

New Brunswick Heart Festival
State Theatre New Jersey, New Brunswick
The free, outdoor music festival has cultural performances lined up all afternoon, plus dance classes for the kids, an arts market, craft vendors, balloon animals, face painting, a health & wellness tent, cariactures, and a history corner.

August 9-10

Boardwalk Craft Show

African Culture Fest
Philadelphia Zoo, Philadelphia, PA
As part of the zoo’s daily activities, Odunde365 will bring a weekend of African culture and dance. You can attend special performances, classes and activations like arts & crafts, a drum class, a yoga class, a dance performance and a book giveaway.

August 10

Atlantic Highlands Food Truck & Music Festival
Marina Lawn, Atlantic Highlands
There will be 18 gourmet food trucks selling everything from lobster rolls and empanadas to cupcakes and tacos. Lone Eagle Brewing will sell craft beers, plus you can order sangria or margaritas. There will be vendors, face painting, and live music by the bay.

Main Street Pops Artisan Market Summer Pop-Up
Pier A Walkway, Hoboken
There will be dozens of artisan vendors, live music and food vendors lining the pier.

Ultimate Comics, Toys & Collectibles Festival
Gloucester County Dream Park, Logan Twp.
The show features tons of comic books, toys, trading cards and crafts. Meet artists, writers and costume groups.

August 14-17

Passaic County Fair
Garret Mountain, Woodland Park
Expected activities include rides, games, bounce houses, animal ambassadors, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, the 4-H experience, a chess tournament, touch-a-truck, butterfly exhibits, music, performances and a beer garden.

August 15-16

Roxey Ballet’s River Dance Festival
Mill Ballet, New Hope, PA
Dancers from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Delaware and other areas will put on three performances, each highlighting a different style and culture.

August 16

Jersey Fresh Jam
TerraCycle Headquarters, Trenton
The free, all-ages festival brings together dozens of graffiti artists, DJs, MCs, and breakdancers for a full day of music, murals, food and community to showcase hip-hop culture. Organized by Trenton-based graffiti artist Leon Rainbow and the Vicious Styles Crew, this year’s lineup includes live mural painting from aerosol artists, dynamic 2-vs-2 breaking battles, and sets from underground DJs and emcees. Local vendors will be on site selling food and locally made goods.

Hub City Sounds: Janmashtami Festival
Monument Square Park, New Brunswick
Music and dance performances are inspired by the culture and traditions from Northern and Southern India, complemented by educational dance and theater presentations, Zumba, Bollywood, and a visual arts workshop.

August 17

Metuchen Street Fair & Craft Show
Downtown Metuchen
There will be arts and crafts, vendor shopping, live music, kids’ rides and food vendors.

August 18-23

St. Joan of Arc Carnival
St. Joan of Arc Parish, Marlton
There will be bands performing nightly, a beer garden, a super 50/50 raffle, food, games and rides. Tuesday is Dollar Dog Night, and Thursday night is the pig roast. There will also be an electric bike raffle.

August 20-24

Hunterdon County 4H & Agricultural Fair
South County Park, Ringoes (Lambertville)
Visit the cow barn, horse barn, sheep barn, and the goat and pig barn. There will be a midway with food, vendors and amusements. Check out the 4-H robotics tent, dairy den, agri-puppet show, shooting sports, NJ beekeepers and antique tractors.

GREATER WILDWOODS TOURISM IMPROVEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY / Sports Card, Toys, Comics & Collectibles Show

August 22-24

Sports Card, Toys, Comics and Collectibles Show
Wildwoods Convention Center, Wildwood
The expo will feature more than 200 tables of sports cards, non-sports cards, toys, comic books, Pokémon, Funko Pops, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, Beanie Babies, videos, jerseys, books, posters, coins, T-shirts, LEGOs, antiques, and more.

OPA Greek Fest
St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, North Wildwood
The church will host its inaugural Greek festival, packed with authentic culture, food, spirits, music, folk dancing, and a Greek market.

August 23

Denville Garlic Fest
Gardner Field, Denville
The “stinking rose” is the star of the show here. Attractions include food trucks, food from local restaurants, a DJ, a bouncy house, putt putt golf, oversized lawn games, craft vendors and garlic-themed fun.

Westfield Street Fair & Craft Show
Downtown Westfield
There will be arts and crafts, vendor shopping, live music, kids’ rides and food vendors.

Kidchella
Bell Works, Holmdel
The Monmouth Moms are making this day all about the kids: music, inflatables, glitter tattoos, vendors, crafts, a glow station, food, yard games, flower crowns, face painting, a DJ and entertainment – but also adult beverages.

Hub City Sounds: Caribbean Festival
Recreation Park, New Brunswick
New Brunswick Cultural Center at Recreation Park, New Brunswick NJ
Join the New Brunswick Cultural Center for an afternoon of Caribbean culture, music (reggae, soca, calypso), dance, and food (including a jerk chicken cookoff).

Women’s Equality Day Festival
Alice Paul Center for Gender Justice, Mt. Laurel
This is the fourth year the festival will be held at historic Paulsdale, the childhood home of suffragist Alice Paul. The event highlights 50+ women-owned businesses and organizations from across NJ and PA. There will be free tours of Paulsdale, kids’ activities, a bounce house, craft making, a beer garden, food trucks, live music, and raffles.

Jersey Halal Spots Food Fest 2025
Middlesex County Fairgrounds, East Brunswick
There will be 70+ vendors, rides and entertainment in addition to tons of halal food.

Pupstock
Sussex County Fairgrounds, Augusta
Dog activity zones include an art zone, puppy foam party, giant ball pit and splash zone. There will be pet adoptions, food trucks, live music, Yappy Hour in the beer garden and vendors.

Seaside Summer Freestyle Fest
The Beach Stage, Seaside Heights
Performers bringing freestyle music to the Jersey Shore include TKA, Lisette Melendez, Cover Girls, C-Bank and Betty Dee of Sweet Sensation.

Koi Fest
Fitz’s Fish Pond, Milford
Aside from learning about pond care, equipment and expert tips for a koi pond, there will also be a judged competition, meet-and-greets with koi influencers, live music, a koi auction, hot air balloon rides, kids’ activities and food trucks.

Eats N’ Beats Festival
Veterans Plaza, Franklin Lakes
For the food part, there will be a variety of food trucks (plus a beer garden). For the beats part, Ryan Townsend, Jakes Rockin Country Band, Country Line Dancing, and Phantom DJ will provide the music. And then for the kids, there will be a large rock wall/euro bungee combo, a trackless fire truck, a surf simulator, vertical rush, a 5-in-1 combo bounce, a Mickey’s learning center interactive inflatable, a face painter, and a graffiti artist who will make you a T-shirt designed by you.

Richland Vintage & Toy Fest

Check out vintage, retro, toy, antique, pop culture, art and anything cool items – such as records, comics, toys, artist originals and baked goods.

Summer of Love Music Fest
Haddon Avenue (between Strawbridge and Cooper streets), Haddon Twp.
Journey back to the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s with live music from AM Radio, Dancin’ Machine and The Priceless Band. There will be a beer garden, food trucks, artisan vendors, a kid zone, hula hoop and trivia contests, and a Glow Party.

New Jersey Folk Festival
Davidsons Mill Pond Park, North Brunswick
Initially postponed from the spring due to weather, the state’s longest-running folk festival will now join Middlesex County’s FolkLIVE event series. Celebrating its 50th year, the festival will include live music, dance, heritage exhibits, crafts, food vendors, and family-friendly programming.

Gloucester Goes Pink Community Festival
Chestnut Branch Park, Mantua
Gloucester County has the highest rate of breast cancer among New Jersey’s 21 counties, so this awareness event will focus on health and wellness through Pilates and Zumba, sound and energy healing, talks by doctors, health screenings, a walk and pet parade, a martial arts demo, a farmers market, and a crafters village.

August 23-24

New Jersey African Restaurant Week Food & Music Festival
Newark
The fourth annual New Jersey African Restaurant Week takes place from August 14 to 24 with special offerings by restaurants. During the weekend festival, there will be extra food tastings, local artists, a marketplace, a chef contest and a kid zone.

Wine Down Summer
Red Bank Battlefield Park, National Park
More than a dozen NJ wineries will offer samples. Listen to live music by 99 Reasons on Saturday and Right Turn at Forty on Sunday. There will be food trucks, artisan crafters and vendors.

August 24

Kezus Food Fest
Garret Mountain Reservation, Woodland Park
North Jersey is giving a nod to its food, culture and community. More than 20 of the region’s top restaurants and vendors will serve signature dishes outdoors, where there will also be live music, giveaways, and interactive experiences.

Montclair MedievalFest
Montclair Art Museum, Montclair
This festival of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music includes live music, simulated combats, instrumental ensembles, vendor shopping and a beer garden.

Craft Show & Antique Corner in the Park
Veterans Park, Westwood
Visit 125 exhibitors featuring arts and crafts, as well as an area dedicated to antiques and collectibles.

August 28-31

Boonton Labor Day Weekend Carnival
Boonton High School
There will be rides, food, games, prizes, live entertainment, a nightly raffle, and fireworks. Saturday’s carnival follows the annual Labor Day parade in town.

Airfest 2025
NAS Wildwood, Cape May
There will be historic aircraft on display, along with the museum’s collection of over 27 planes and helicopters. Special for the festival is entertainment, live music, Ted Schwartz’s WWII radio show, food trucks, a Beer & Wine Garden, and more.

August 29 – September 1

Labor Day Carnival
Mendham
There are three nights of carnival fun. On Monday, after the Labor Day Parade that marches down Main Street, the carnival opens early; at night, the mayor will draw the mega 50/50 raffle ticket before the fireworks show lights up the sky.

August 30

South Jersey Seafood & Music Festival
Washington Lake Park, Sewell
Nearly 20 gourmet food trucks will serve different seafood dishes, plus dessert vendors. There will be a beer, sangria and margarita garden. Live music is by Poor Mouth Henry, Undisputed, and Jenny Barnes Band. There will also be vendors, face painting, ziplining and kids’ activities.

Take a stroll through this market in the mall, showcasing more than two dozen vendors selling handcrafted jewelry, home decor, pet products, sweet treats, handmade gifts and more.

Doggie Carnival Extravaganza
Doggie Sweets (Pier Village) and White Chapel Projects, Long Branch
The in-store Doggie Sweets Carnival includes photo ops with a carnival-themed grass wall and a 360-degree photo machine. The Doggie Carnival Extravaganza at White Chapel Projects is a full-blown doggie carnival with games, activities, and plenty of opportunities for your pup to socialize with other dogs.

August 30-31

NJ Beachcomber’s Beach Con
Beachcomber Camping Resort, Cape May
NJ Beach Con is a celebration of all things comic books, toys, collectibles, Pops and more. Special guests include Greg Berg of Transformers and Muppet Babies; award-winning voiceover actress Cheryl Chase; actor Christ Bartlett; and actor and voice talent Catero Colbert.

Wildwood End of Summer Block Party and Music Festival
Fox Park, Wildwood
There will be live music, food vendors, craft vendors and children’s entertainment to say goodbye to summer.
