Superhero fans, get ready—Gotham City is coming to life at Six Flags Great Adventure. On select days this summer, the theme park’s DC Heroes & Villains Festival brings superhero-themed roller coasters and thrill rides front and center.

For the first time ever, DC Comics and Six Flags are collaborating on a theatrical takeover of the park, which puts you in the middle of a showdown between heroes and villains.

Once you get into the park, you’ll have to choose if you want to side with the good guys or the bad guys. Your favorite comic book stars – like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Lex Luthor and Catwoman –Â come to life before your very eyes in a production that will remind you of a Broadway spectacular.

There will be original film-style music that syncs with the fight scenes, storylines and crowd moments that come through 15 scripted performances over the course of five hours. The events include parades, villain dance parties, street theater, live concerts, interactive games, and a massive stunt-driven finale. Talk about action-packed!

After debuting at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, in June, the DC Heroes & Villains Festival comes to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from August 8-31, plus Labor Day (Monday, September 1). Showtimes vary between 5 and 10 pm.
