With its beautiful shoreline and beaches, bustling downtowns and natural elements, New Jersey definitely lives up to its name as the Garden State. But did you know our residents are also some of the happiest people in the U.S.? According to WorldAtlas, NJ places No. 5 on a list of all 50 states in terms of quality of life, employment status, cost of living, hobbies and weather.
According to WorldAtlas, NJ has the country’s fifth lowest rate of depression, the lowest rate of suicide and the third lowest rate of marital divorce. New Jersey achieved an overall score of 61.71, which comes behind No. 1 Hawaii with a score of 66.31. We can surely give that aloha spirit a run for its money!
How can we argue with the results when you consider some of our favorite towns — Cape May, Jersey City, Asbury Park, Ridgewood and Princeton?
