If your kids are Minecraft fans, you may want to sign them up for The Minecraft Build Challenge, where they can put their build skills to the test.
Up to forty contestants will face off inside the PaleyGX Studio in New York City. They will play Minecraft using either an Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, Switch or a PC. Each of the timed rounds will be judged based on creativity. Two groups will tackle two build challenges each, and the top three winners from each group will battle it out in the finals.
Only the top two gamers will win the title of Minecraft Challenge Winner, but it’s still a great way for your kids to show off their talents building blocks (and cities) and going on an adventure, while learning about competition.
The Minecraft Build Challenge takes place on Saturday, September 23, at The Paley Center for Media, 25 W. 52nd St., New York. Check-in is at 2 pm, and games start at 2:30 pm. By 5:30 pm, the winners will be announced.
This event is free, but you’ll need to pay the museum admission fee; Paley members get free admission to both. Tickets start at 16 for students, teachers, seniors, veterans and first responders. Adults are $20. Kids under 12 are free. To secure your spot, you have to purchase a general admission ticket, then add on tickets for this event during the second step of checkout. Museum members can enter their Member ID (including dashes) or code in the access key field to RSVP.
