The OceanXplorer is a research and filmmaking vessel used by OceanX to explore the ocean and bring the info back to land. You’ll be able to see all that it does, including helping people around the world connect to nature.

You’ll be able to try scientific experiments similar to the ones OceanXplorer scientists do and see some of the oceans’ coolest locations. If you’re fascinated by whales, you can study an orca group through the use of a drone, virtually tagging an animal and then collecting audio and visual data to learn how members of the pod coexist. Visitors can also research humpback whale communication or the tropical habitat of hammerhead sharks.

Through a mixture of tech, storytelling and immersive experiences, you can record your research using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology wristbands as you move through the rooms, including Mission Control, Bridge, Wet and Dry Labs and Sub Hangar. This isn’t just about observing; in the HoloLab, put on a HoloLens 2 headset to see how holographic technology can be used for scientific research and collaboration.
