DIY Dragon Eggs the Kids Will Love Making for Easter

Enter the dragon’s lair to uncover colorful dragon eggs just in time for Easter. Or, just head to the kitchen and make your own. Crack and color hard-boiled eggs to create a fun effect that resembles reptilian eggs.

Want to do some easter eggs like you’ve never seen before? These unique eggs are more than your typical box dye.

What you need to make DIY Dragon Eggs for Easter:

6 hard-boiled eggs
6 cups
water
6 tsp. (30 mL) vinegar
Food coloring: red, green,
blue, purple, orange
and pink

Step-by-step to make DIY Dragon Eggs

1. Crack the outer shells of the eggs. Fill each cup halfway with water and add 1 teaspoon of vinegar and 4 drops of one food coloring to each cup.
2. Stir well and add an egg to each cup.
3. Refrigerate overnight.
4. Remove the eggs from the cups and peel to reveal colorful crack lines around the outside of each boiled egg.
