It’s no surprise that two spots in Hawaii (Paia and Hilo) landed in the top 10 best places to honeymoon in the country, according to Honeymoon Always. What IS surprising is that one New Jersey town placed at No. 14 – and three Garden State towns in total made the site’s list of top 175 destinations.

In an online survey of 3,000 adults, Honeymoon Always came up with a list of the best places to honeymoon in the United States. Those surveyed said Cape May is their favorite NJ town. And they said they love it so much that they would honeymoon there! We love Cape May for its beaches, wildlife and outdoor adventures. Farm-to-table dinners at Beach Plum Farm are a must. Cape May’s Victorian homes offer a picturesque backdrop as you walk through town. Water sports like jet skiing, parasailing or rail-biking abound. And if you haven’t, we recommend climbing to the top of the Cape May Lighthouse to watch the sunset.

Princeton ranked 105. While we adore Princeton, we’re not sure we would honeymoon here. But we do love this charming Ivy League town. Nassau Street and Palmer Square are the places to be for eating, drinking and shopping. Among our favorites are Winberie’s Restaurant & Bar and the Yankee Doodle Tap Room. Don’t leave town without strolling the grounds of Princeton University, the state’s most beautiful campus. Take a walking tour, visit an Eating Club and stop for some ice cream at Halo Pub, Thomas Sweet or the bent spoon.

Lambertville ranked 127 on the list. We love walking across the bridge over the Delaware River between NJ and New Hope, Pennsylvania (which is also on the list, at No. 93) and visiting the quaint shops and restaurants. Jim’s of Lambertville is a great spot for artwork. Stop by A Touch of The Past for antiques. Don’t miss dessert at Owowcow Creamery. The Lambertville Station Restaurant & Inn is a local institution and offers a great river view.

The top 10 vacation spots for a honeymoon, according to Honeymoon Always, are:
1. St. Augustine, Florida
2. Paia, Hawaii
3. Hilo, Hawaii
4. Asheville, North Carolina
5. Carmel-by-the-Sea, California
6. Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
7. Durham, North Carolina
8. Mackinac Island, Michigan
9. Flagstaff, Arizona
10. Manchester, Vermont
