Halloween House Promises Less Fright, More Fun

This walk-through is less scary, more movie-based for everyone in your crew

HALLOWEEN HOUSE

If you’re a fan of haunted houses minus all the blood and gore, an immersive indoor experience inside two NJ malls is calling your name.

Halloween House is an indoor experience where you and your crew will be transported to a Halloween world. Each of the 10 rooms in the 10,000-square-foot locations will be curated by Hollywood set designers, artists and Halloween lovers using lighting, props and effects. But there will be no actors, no jump scares and no gore. Instead, you’ll enter different rooms to enjoy scenes like the Beetlejuice Illusion Room, Glow Room, Graveyard Movie Theater, Zombie Bunker, Halloweentown, Haunted Hotel Room, Trick-or-Treat Room, and the Vampire’s Lair.

HALLOWEEN HOUSE

There will be creepy spiderwebs, ghouls and graveyards, but nothing upsetting or really scary for kids (though it’s not really for toddlers).

Halloween House Freehold is located at the Freehold Raceway Mall, 3710 Rte. 9, Freehold Twp. Halloween House Deptford is located at the Deptford Mall, 1750 Deptford Center Rd., Deptford. The walk-through should take about 45 minutes. The attraction is open at both locations daily from September 26 to November 2, but hours vary per day, with the last ticket sold a half-hour before closing. Tickets start at $30 for kids under 13 and $35 for adults, with VIP and group options available.
