Homes in These 3 NJ Towns Are Selling Fast—And They’re Among the Nation’s Hottest Zip Codes

It’s still a seller’s market in New Jersey, and three towns in the state are so popular, homes are flying off the market in about three weeks.

Realtor.com released its list of the 50 Hottest ZIP Codes in the U.S. for 2025. The rankings look at market demand, the number of people who look at a home via Realtor.com, the pace of the market, and the number of days a listing remains active on the site. The hottest areas have several unique views per property, fast-selling homes, and larger and newer homes. The trend for 2025 is to move to suburbia, with its slower-paced living but close proximity to larger cities.

The first New Jersey town on the list is Marlton, located in Evesham Twp. in Burlington County. ZIP code 08053 is part of the Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington Metro Area. There are roughly 3.9 viewers per property, 17 median days on the market, and a median listing price of $495,000. In 2024, Marlton placed 3rd on the same list.

The main street area used to be the pathway that indigenous peoples traveled to the Atlantic Ocean. The area was also settled by the English, Swedish and Scottish. Now, it’s lined with shops and restaurants.

Natural areas include the Community Garden, Memorial Park, Kain Park, Beagle Club and Black Run Preserve.

Activities and events for families include menorah and Christmas tree lighting ceremonies, a holiday light parade, military service member welcome home ceremonies, National Night Out, Relay for Life, St. Joan of Arc’s Carnival, 4th of July fireworks and parade, Juneteenth commemoration, Diwali party, and the crescent moon lighting.

Wayne Twp. in Passaic County ranked No. 5 on the list. ZIP code 07470 is located in the New York-Newark-Jersey City Metro Area. There are roughly 3.3 viewers per property, with houses staying on the market approximately 22 days. The median listing price is $664,000. In 2024, Wayne placed 4th on the same list.

The area is so popular, Fountains of Wayne (remember Stacy’s Mom?) paid homage to their hometown with their band name. A big draw is the Willowbrook Mall, which includes Bloomingdale’s and Dave & Buster’s.

Historical sites include Dey Museum (Gen. Washington’s headquarters), Schuyler-Colfax House Museum and Van Riper-Hopper House Museum. Nature lovers can explore Laurelwood Arboretum, Terhune Memorial Park, High Mountain Park Preserve, Packanack Lake and Captain Kilroy Park (known for its playgrounds).

Take the kids for a day out at Ice Vault Arena, Willowbrook Golf Center, T-Bowl II or Wayne Art Center.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP / Azalea Festival at Sayen Gardens

Trenton ranked 41st – ZIP code 08619 – in the Trenton-Princeton Metro Area. There are 2.2 viewers per home, a house stays on the market for about 28 days, and the median listing price is $406,000. Although it’s technically a Trenton zip code, this area includes parts of Hamilton Twp. and Mercerville in Mercer County.

Parts of Hamilton, inside and neighboring 08619, include Sayen House & Gardens, John A. Roebling Memorial Park (part of the Abbott Marshlands), the Tulpehaking Nature Center, the super popular Grounds for Sculpture or Kuser Farm Mansion.

The Stone Terrace by John Henry’s, Rat’s Restaurant inside Grounds for Sculpture, Killarney’s Publick House and the bar pies at DeLorenzo’s are big draws for foodies.

In comparison, No. 1 Beverly, Massachusetts – ZIP code 01915 – has 4.6 viewers per property, a house stays on the market roughly 16 days, and the median listing price is $746,000.
