Would you like to take a trip to the North Pole and see Santa’s Workshop? Or would your family prefer to find themselves in scenes from famous Christmas movies? If your letter to Santa includes asking for a trip to a one-of-a-kind Christmas Village experience, then head to Menlo Park Mall or the Paramus Park Mall for an experience not even Santa’s elves can build.
Starting on Black Friday, both malls will be converted into a winter wonderland, with a state-of-the-art Christmas village for shoppers to experience at Christmas House. A ten-room portion of each mall will be transformed by Hollywood and Broadway set designers, using lighting and digital technology to create festive holiday scenes.
Some of the cool features will be the North Pole, including indoor snow; scenes from “Elf” or “Nightmare Before Christmas;” a replica of Blockbuster Video, where adults will relive the joy of picking out a VHS tape; and a “Harry Potter” Christmas where they will see the halls of Hogwarts decorated for the holidays.
There will be more festive scenes with screens, fireplaces and Christmas trees where you can snap selfies or pictures for your family’s next Christmas card. There’s an indoor light show and of course, a Christmas gift shop.
Christmas House is produced by the same designers who held Halloween House in the fall.
