We know that this holiday is to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French empire and that’s why this day is celebrated. But we also know that New Jersey just officially canceled in-school learning for the rest of the school year so we’ll take the welcome excuse to stuff our faces with tacos and drink margaritas. While your party may not look the same this year in quarantine, these restaurants are still serving up curbside takeout for your Cinco de Mayo/Taco Tuesday needs.

Bahama Breeze Island Grille
Order dinner from this chain, and then hop on to Facebook Live at 5 pm for a virtual party, featuring DJ Patrick Simpson spinning tunes to get you in the mood.

Blue Moon Cafe
While they’re  sold out of their Cinco packages, you can still order a Family Style Taco or Fajita dinner (which include choices of meat and all the fixins). Plus, they’ve got bar add ons, like Margarita and sangria kits and buckets of Corona (you supply the lime).

Chevy’s Fresh Mex
The Linden location is still closed, but the Clifton spot has reopened. They are celebrating Quarantino de Mayo. Call to order dinner (try one of their Fresh Mex Family meals that feed up to 10 people) from their regular menu, and then download cute backgrounds and their playlist, join their digital party from 5-7 PM hosted by DJ David Bain for your chance to win prizes.

Chili’s
The famous and gigantic  Presidente Margarita is available to go with a margarita kit that has everything you need including premium tequila, brandy, Chili’s fresh sour & triple sec mix, salt and lime. They’ll be served in limited edition cups (available while supplies last).

Chipotle Mexican Grill
Chipotle is giving you some free Queso Blanco to make the day better. Use QUESO55 and you’ll also get free delivery from now until May 10.

Moe’s Southwest Grill
The chain has multiple locations around the state, and they’re offering free delivery on purchases of $10 or more through the app and website on 5/5. And they’re having a virtual party! On 5/5 from 6-7pm ET, comedian Aaron Chewning is throwing a virtual party so you don’t have to celebrate Cinco de Mayo alone. So snag your taco kit and tune in for some stay-at-home fun. Free taco kits and burritos will be given out during the party, as well as 50 Moe’s t-shirts. Full details here.

On the Border
The chain is having a cincotacobration with their $25 Cinco in a Bag. It includes 10 seasoned ground beef tacos and a large bowl of queso, Mexican rice, refried beans and chips and salsa. Special swag and branded cups available while supplies last.
