If your kids are big dinosaur fans, a new Dino Safari has more than 50 life-sized animated dinos taking over the Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold.
From the triceratops to the pterosauria to the brachiosaurus to the oviraptor, these lifelike animatronics have special effects like their jaws opening, heads and tails swaying, the sound of breathing and wings fluttering.
Aside from the moving statues, there are lots of interactive experiences. Become a dinosaur detective at the Jurassic Fossil Hunt – you may be able to find a T-Rex lurking about. Meet Cosmo Lumi, the park’s glowing mascot. At Volcano Bone Alley, there is a fossil field, T-Rex Thrill Chair and Dino Bone Throne. You know what that means: lots of photo ops for Instagram.
The Dino Ride & Speedway is a series of dino-themed cars, or let out some energy by jumping around in the Dino Paradise Bounce House. The Caterpillar Express winds through a tunnel of dino bones. These activities have additional costs.
To see the creatures illuminated by modern light art, plan to visit at night.
