Halloween may be over, but the craze over Beetlejuice will never die. There’s a house in Central Jersey outfitted exactly like Delia Deetz’s house from the 1988 original movie and this year’s “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” sequel – and you can rent it for a stay!
Through Airbnb, 10 three-hour bookings for up to six people will be available at a location in Hillsborough from November 16 to 27.
According to Airbnb, upon your arrival, Delia’s (after)lifelong assistant will usher you inside. You can wander around and see Delia’s artwork, just as it’s seen in the movies. In the attic, you will see the Maitlands’ model of Winter River. If you dare to say “his” name three times, be prepared for strange things to happen – you may even find yourself in The Afterlife. There’s a chance for you to follow the glowing green light into the Waiting Room with the rest of the recently deceased. Once you get through, you’ll find yourself in a disorienting hallway, and you can peek through the keyholes – but look out for sandworms or Dante’s Inferno. After your house tour, Delia has arranged an art class for your crew.
In order to book the rental, you have to submit a request by 11:59 pm November 4. You must be 18 or older to book, and anyone coming to the house must be at least 13. When you book Haunt the Beetlejuice House you’ll also get a one-night stay at an Airbnb listing in Princeton at no additional cost. There is no cost to submit a request.
This is part of Airbnb Icons, which is a category of home rentals based on music, film, TV, sports and pop culture.
