When it opens, Shoreline Pier will include five rides, four of them new to Great Adventure. Barrels O’ Fun is a spinning family coaster with wooden barrel-inspired cars that dip and twist. Flying Scooters lets riders soar on winged scooters, using the sails to swing, dip and glide. Wave Swinger is a swing ride that lifts guests into the air, spinning them above the midway with Boardwalk views and a weightless, soaring sensation. Park representatives say it brings back the nostalgia of the Flying Wave, a similar ride that was open at Great Adventure from 1974 to 2007.

Hypno Twister is a spinning ride that whirls guests through swirling colors and rotations with its four interlocking, rotating arms. Super Roundup, a ride that returns under its original name, sends standing riders spinning in fast, accelerating circles as its platform tilts 80 degrees with a centrifugal force holding everyone to the wall.

The area will also have boardwalk-style food and drinks like fresh-cut fries with dipping sauces, disco fries, corn dogs and a “Gabagool On-a-Stick” made with capicola and hot honey. Dessert options include blueberry- and cannoli-inspired funnel cake sundaes, chocolate-dipped fruit and Rita’s Italian Ice.

Shoreline Pier will also have live entertainment day and night, which will include stilt walkers, musicians and roaming performers on select dates. Great Adventure is also introducing Boardwalk Nights, which are designated nights featuring stage performances, music, lighting and themed merchandise. Dates will be announced soon.

Great Adventure reopens to the public for the season this Saturday, March 28, following a March 27 preview night for passholders. The park’s Safari Spring Break Celebration will run on select dates through April 12, and includes animal encounters and other interactive experiences. A major new roller coaster is also in the works for 2027.
