You might have enjoyed skiing or snowtubing at Camelback this winter, or escaped the cold weather inside Aquatopia, but now the resort is getting ready to bring you even more fun as they prepare to open their spring attractions for the season. The 560-acre resort will soon open five of its big outdoor attractions and there’s something for everyone in your family to look forward to.Â
Starting April 5, guests are invited to test their nerves on the Double Barrel 1,000 Foot Dual Ziplines where you can harness up to race family members or friends. On April 10th, you can take a spin on their mountain coaster, the Appalachian Express, which is a 4,500 foot ride down the mountain in your own carts. And on April 24, daredevils can tackle PA’s longest zipline, the 4,000 foot Zip-Flyer, where two people zip down the mountain at the same time.
Starting in May, the Mountain Segway Tour will be opening, where you’ll ride a Segway to catch breathtaking views of the forest. On May 28 the challenging obstacle TreeTops Adventure Course will offer you the chance to climb, zip, swing through the air and conquer aerial obstacles. This one is for the adults and big kids, but younger thrill-seekers can enjoy the Kids TreeTops Little Explorer Course for a safer, age-appropriate adventure.
And if the rain puts a damper on your spring fun, head indoors to Aquatopia for indoor waterpark excitement, with 13 wild water slides and a massive wave pool. Or you and the family can also check out the new Game of Stones Escape Room where you’ll be locked away to solve puzzles and riddles and try to find your way out. Camelback’s Arcadia Adventures features VR experiences, a 7D dark ride and climbing adventures and indoor ropes courses.
Grab a bite safely on the outdoor patio of Berrelli’s Italian Chophouse, which offers chops, steaks, pastas, small plates and seafood. Make your own pizzas at Graffiti Pizza or stop by for some sweet treats at Sugar Shack.
If you want to make a weekend of it, you can stay in the recently modernized resort (and maybe even treat yourself to a spa visit). Keep track of all your reservations and activities with the new resort app that makes exploring all the property has to offer even easier.
Camelback Resort is located at 193 Resort Drive, Tannersville, PA 18372 and you can call 570-629-1665 or visit their website for more information.
