Fans of “Die Hard,” “Armageddon” and “The Sixth Sense” will want to make a stop along the Garden State Parkway in Cape May County where a rest stop will be named after Bruce Willis.

Since 2021, the rest stops along the GSP and New Jersey Turnpike have been named after our favorite Jersey celebs like James Gandolfini, Whitney Houston, Jon Bon Jovi, Judy Blume and Frank Sinatra.

Ocean View Service Plaza, located around Exit 17, was supposed to be named after American novelist Toni Morrison, but an agreement could not be reached with her family, according to reports. That left the name up for grabs, and although Bruce was born in Germany, his father – after being discharged from the military in 1957 – moved the family to Carneys Point in Salem County. Bruce eventually moved to Penns Grove, also in Salem County.

The New Jersey Hall of Fame sets up Satellite Exhibits at various locations and rest stops to celebrate the life and legacy of the stars:
Larry Doby Service Area, North, Bloomfield
Connie Chung Service Area, South, Bloomfield
James Gandolfini Service Area, Montvale
Newark Penn Station, Newark

The sign is expected to be changed within the next month.
