CHARLES REAGAN/SEA.HEAR.NOW.

The uber-popular Sea.Hear.Now festival that’s become an annual way to get our last licks of summer will be bigger than ever, with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band headlining on Sunday night.

Come out for two days of sand and surf this weekend, where there’ll be more than 25 performances on three stages along the Asbury Park waterfront.

Noah Kahan will headline Saturday night, in addition to The Black Crowes, 311, The Revivalists, The Hives, Grace Potter, Sierra Ferrell, Peaches, Guster, Ziggy Alberts, Robert Randolph Band, Passafire, Joe P and Sonic Blume.

Joining Bruce in the lineup are The Gaslight Anthem, the Trey Anastasio Band, Norah Jones, Kool & The Gang, Action Bronson, Gogol Bordello, Larkin Poe, Joy Oladokun, The Aces, Eggy, Illiterate Light, Bertha, Sunshine Spazz and Rachelana Dobken.

In between sets, watch a team surf contest featuring the top male and female professional surfers from the East Coast doing battle between the Surf and Sand stages! Go beyond the beach and visit Danny Clinch’s Transparent Gallery, which will feature immersive art experiences. Or, take part in one of the daily second-line parades on the boardwalk.

And when in Asbury, you can always head to one of the many boardwalk restaurants throughout the festival grounds. Some of our favorites include Robinson’s Ale House for pub fare, Cousins Maine Lobster for food-truck-meets-storefront and undoubtedly Coney Waffle for dessert.

Sea.Hear.Now started in 2018 in Asbury Park as a way to promote live music, art, surfing culture and ocean sustainability efforts. It will be held again this year along the Asbury Park waterfront Sept. 14-15. Kids under 7 are admitted free with a paying adult. The ticket prices go through levels such as General Admission+, VIP, Platinum and the Ultimate Experience (at a whopping $8,900 (!) for a three-day A-list experience). Some of the packages include hotel stays. There is car and bicycle parking, but it may be best to call a rideshare and get dropped off at 115 4th Ave.
