The top two candidates for New Jersey’s gubernatorial race will debate each other in a town hall-style meeting this weekend that will be streamed live across On New Jersey’s digital platforms.
Democratic candidate Mikie Sherrill and Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli will share their thoughts and opinions on the future of New Jersey during a live broadcast from Rider University in Lawrenceville on Sunday, September 21.
AARP will hold a preshow at 5 pm. Journalist Brian Thompson will offer coverage along with Joey Fox of the New Jersey Globe. The preshow will feature segments by Laura Jones and Lisa Marie Falbo, including interviews with Gov. Phil Murphy, Lt. Gov. Tahesha Way, Rider University President John Loyack, and Kevin O’Toole and Tom Scrivo of O’Toole Scrivo, LLC.
The debate starts at 7 pm. On-the-ground reporting will be provided by Joti Kaur Rekhi, who will give real-time updates from inside the venue.
AARP New Jersey will provide post-show coverage immediately following the debate.
The debates and other programming will be streamed live across On New Jersey’s digital platforms, including ONNJ.com, YouTube, Roku, NewsON, Apple TV, Fire TV, Samsung TV, and all major social media channels. Audio will be available on podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music and iHeartRadio. The event will also simulcast on New Jersey Globe’s YouTube and X platforms.
