The Teaneck Tailgate is the Ultimate Block Party Filled with Sports-Themed Fun

There will be sports challenges, tailgate games and a pep rally parade

The ultimate block party meets game-day spirited festival is coming to Teaneck this month. On Sunday, September 28, the Teaneck Tailgate will transform Cedar Lane into a celebration packed with sports challenges, live music, cheer performances, and food and drink from 30+ vendors.

The event benefits the Teaneck Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) and Teaneck Public Schools. A highlight will be a dunk tank fundraiser featuring team leaders and the principal, plus live performances by the cheerleaders, flag twirlers and band.

School of Rock Creskill will perform at 1 pm. The Teaneck Pep Rally Parade kicks off at 2 pm. Nick DiBari and his band bring country, pop, folk and classic rock music to the stage at 3 pm.

Other fun events include sports challenges, tailgate games and a 360-degree photo booth with props.

Some of the 30+ food and drink vendors include Wandering Que, Cousins Maine Lobster, Culcha Caribbean, Cupcake Carriage, Clyde’s Ice & Ice Cream MK Valencia’s bar, and even the Groomington Eats Dog Food Truck. You can enter to win $20 in Food Truck Bucks every hour, sponsored by First Commerce Bank.

Teaneck Tailgate takes place from 1-7 pm September 28 along Cedar Lane in Teaneck. The rain date is October 5.

The tailgate party is produced by T.H. Experiences and AK Productions, with support from the Township of Teaneck, Teaneck Chamber of Commerce, Cedar Lane Management, Holy Name, FDU, First Commerce Bank and Teaneck Public Schools. New Jersey Family is a media sponsor.
