If you’re thinking of having your teen apply to colleges in New Jersey, there’s good news. Money gave 15 of our post-secondary schools 4 stars or higher on its list of The Best Colleges in America for 2023. In the study, Money analyzed 2,300 colleges based on the quality of education, how affordable tuition is, graduation rate, availability of financial aid and what alums make when they enter the workforce. A total of 736 schools across the U.S. made the final list.

It’s no surprise that Princeton University is the top school in New Jersey and got 5 stars. Right behind with 4.5 stars are the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, The College of New Jersey in Ewing, Rutgers University’s New Brunswick campus and Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken.

Four stars were awarded to Ramapo College in Mahwah, Caldwell University in Caldwell, Centenary University in Hackettstown, Felician University in Lodi, Monmouth University in West Long Branch, Montclair University in Montclair, Rider University in Lawrenceville, Rowan University in Glassboro, Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City and Stockton University in Galloway.
