Have a kid who’s obsessed with mini monster trucks? This August, they can see them come to life at Monster Jam at Prudential Center in Newark!
World champion drivers speed the 12,000-pound machines through obstacle courses and high above the arena floor. They do backflips, vertical two-wheel tricks and all-out speed racing. They will battle for the Event Championship in four competitions of racing, skills, donuts and freestyle.
Some of the popular trucks in the lineup are Grave Digger driven by Weston Anderson; El Toro Loco driven by Fernando Martinez; TBD driven by Angelina Nock; Sparkle Smash driven by Jamie Sullivan; Megalodon driven by Mikayla Tulachka; Just Get-Er-Done driven by Brandan Tulachka; Over Bored driven by Jamey Garner; and Wild Side driven by Zack Garner.
During the Monster Jam Pit Party, which takes place an hour before the shows on Saturday and Sunday, you can get up close with the massive trucks, snap a selfie, meet the drivers and ask for autographs. There will be driver interviews, sneak peeks of the pit crew and giveaways.
Monster Jam comes to the Prudential Center, 25 Lafayette St., Newark, August 8-10. Showtimes are 7 pm Friday; 1 pm and 7 pm Saturday (with the Pit Party from 10:30 am to 12 pm); and 1 pm Sunday (with the Pit Party from 10:30 am to 12 pm).
