May the Fourth is tomorrow and it’s the informal but totally fun day to celebrate all things Star Wars! Also known as Star Wars Day, there are fun events taking place all around New Jersey so you and the kids can channel your inner Jedi.

So, how will you celebrate your fandom this year? Read on for some out-of-this-world events.

Kids at AD
3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
American Dream Mall, East Rutherford
American Dream hosts its monthly “Kids at AD” series with an intergalactic afternoon of storytelling, crafts and giveaways for children. Leading the Read-Aloud will be Bergen Magazine’s Editorial Director, Rita Guarna, who will read Star Wars A Jedi You Will Be by Preeti Chhibber. This delightful picture book, narrated by everyone’s favorite Jedi Master, Yoda, teaches kids how to use the Force in them to step into a larger universe. Pre-registration is required, but admission is free.

Star Wars Fan Movie Night
Il Vecchio Cafe, Caldwell
See Episode IV – A New Hope at Il Vecchio Cafe inside Calandra’s Italian Village  Rain or shine inside their heated tent. $40 prix-fixe menu per person, $15 per child. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Use the Force (and some block-based coding) to create your own Star Wars themed video game. Jedi and Siths of all experience levels welcome. Join this virtual program on May 4th from 6-7pm. No registration required.
Dress as your favorite Star Wars character to this bar & grill at 7 pm. If you are an artist, bring your Star Wars inspired art for their monthly exhibition starting on May 7th.

And if you can’t make any of these events, be sure to check out the debut of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, a new animated series only on Disney+ starting May 4.
