With 120 liquor licenses packed into just 1.25 square miles, Hoboken is known to many as the bar capital of the world. But for those who want to drink less or not at all, a trendy bar has just added a new line of handcrafted mocktails to its menu.
Little Bar’s new mocktail menu uses herbs, citrus, botanicals, housemade syrups and spices in its drinks. Sybil’s Secret is named after Hoboken’s Sybil’s Cave, which was a famous spring that was thought to have healing properties, and is made with herbal tonic, ginger syrup, lime and candied ginger. No Nogroni is made of The Pathfinder, San Bitter Red, orange, house bitters and saline. Little Bit of Spritz is made with elderflower, San Bitter Bianco and mint. Petit Llama mixes purple corn, pineapple, apple, cinnamon, lime and mint.
There’s plenty of apps on the menu, too – ranging from caviar and black bean hummus to whipped ricotta with truffle honey. There are cured meats, artisan conservas (small seafood bites) served with crackers and housemade hot sauce. Finish up with chocolate pot du crème or panna cotta with blueberry jam.
Crafted cocktails, wine and champagne are also on the menu. Little Bar is located at 1401 Hudson St. in Hoboken.
