Big news for Southern fried chicken fans: North Carolina fave Bojangles is coming to New Jersey!

BOJANGLES

The Goldstein Group announced it’s working on building a Bojangles at 1000 Stelton Road in Piscataway at the site of a former Exxon. It’s expected to open in the spring.

“Bojangles is a new restaurant to the New Jersey market,” Neil Goldstein, principal of The Goldstein Group, says in a statement. “There are many chicken concept restaurants seeking sites in New Jersey and throughout the country. This will be one of the first Bojangles locations in Northern/Central New Jersey.”

A spokesperson for Bojangles confirmed that a second location is coming to Route 35 in Neptune later this summer.

“We’re just getting started in the Garden State and have plans for additional locations in the years ahead,” they told New Jersey Family.

Bojangles was founded in 1977 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and now has 800 restaurants in 17 states. The most popular menu items are its southern chicken, buttermilk biscuits and tea made fresh daily. The salad, chicken biscuit sandwiches and breakfast biscuits are fan faves, too.
