New Balloon Museum Lets You Look, Move and Touch The Exhibits

Let's Fly opens this weekend in New York City

No need to tell the kids “look but don’t touch” when you visit The Balloon Museum in New York City. At the new museum, visitors are highly encouraged to touch, move and feel all of the props.

The Let’s Fly exhibit will make its debut in NYC next month. Pier 36 will have 80,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor activities dedicated to exploring the lightness and flight of air through inflatable and multi-medium installations created by 13 international artists.

Exhibits include abstract images of environmental data about the air in New York, a projection of mirrored balloons in a mirrored room that looks like a labyrinth of mazes, inflatable structures and sculptures that represent an imaginary city, an inflatable labyrinth in an Italian garden and a floating ball pit.

The Let’s Fly exhibit will be open from October 27 to January 14, 2024, at Pier 36 in New York City. Tickets start at $35 for children and $45 for adults.
