Halloween Costume Swap Day: What You Need to Know

This annual tradition will help you save money on their costume.

National Halloween Costume Swap Day, held the second Saturday of every October, is a smart way to upcycle, save money and get your hands on a new get-up.

On October 14, donate your family’s old costumes in exchange for new ones. The Costume Swap was started by greenhalloween.org, which says swapping can reduce annual landfill waste by 6,250 tons!

Remember: The swapping isn’t limited to just kids’ costumes—adult and pet costumes are welcome, too! If you can’t find an event in your area, arrange your own with friends and family.

Check out this swap in Flemington on October 14.
