Disney Family Singalong

We’re all in desperate need of something bright and fun in our lives during quarantine, and nothing brings families together like Disney. So get your microphones (or hairbrushes) ready because on Thursday, April 16 at 8 PM, ABC will be airing a star-studded Disney Family Singalong special, with animated characters and on-screen lyrics so you can join in from the couch.

Ryan Seacrest will be virtually hosting the hour-long special, with remote performances slated from some of your favorite Disney stars. Josh Gad (who has been lifting our spirits with his bedtime stories) will be virtually joined by Luke Evans and Alan Menken to bust out a version of “Gaston” from Beauty and the Beast. Auli’i Cravalho will be reprising Moana‘s “How Far I’ll Go”, Arian Grande will perform the classic Hercules tune “I Won’t Say I’m in Love”, and Christina Aguilera will sing the Lion King showstopper “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.”

You’ll be able to follow along and sing with on-screen lyrics. More fun stuff to look forward to: a duet from Demi Lovato and Michael Bublé on “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes”, Darren Criss doing the Jungle Book classic “I Wan’na Be Like You” and John Stamos singing “It’s a Small World.” We guarantee you’ll have that stuck in your head for days.

The fun-filled hour will be capped off by a version of the High School Musical jam “We’re All in This Together.” Director Kenny Ortega has rounded up a host of friends from the HSM franchise, the Descendants and Zombies. Think Vanessa Hudgens, Raven-Symone, Ashley Tisdale and Dove Cameron.

To see the full lineup, check ABC.com. The show will be airing on the network and streaming on their site and app. In between the music, there’ll be PSAs from ABC stars to raise awareness for Feeding America, which is helping hungry families affected, especially those who have been hardest hit by COVID-19

We can’t wait to watch and in the words of Elsa, here’s hoping the fears that once controlled us can’t get to us at all.
