Cannonball! Six Flags Hurricane Harbor’s Massive New Pool Is Finally Open

Calypso Springs is the biggest new attraction since the water park’s opening in 2000.

Six Flags Great Adventure

After almost two decades since its opening, Hurricane Harbor just got its first major upgrade. The 45-acre summer highlight at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson just brought a huge activity pool into the mix for the 2019 season.

Calypso Springs is a 100,000-gallon pool boasting a fountain (complete with a geyser the kids will love being surprised by) and a beach. Around the open-air deck will be stocked with hundreds of chairs, giant umbrellas and Bimini shade covers available for rent.

The pool will be right next door to the Taak It Eez Ee Creek lazy river and the Tornado water slide, not to mention new dining location Calypso Grill where you’ll be able to chow down between dips. Calypso Springs joins 25 slides, a million-gallon wave pool, a half-mile lazy river and two splash playgrounds your little fish could spend all day in.

Make waves at any of these attractions with Hurricane Harbor admission (daily tickets start at $40.99/each).
