As businesses in the tri-state area begin to reopen, the likelihood of taking day trips and making other summertime plans is looking pretty good. Today, Camelback Resort will reopen its doors, with other Camelback favorites soon to follow.

The resort will reopen with limited capacity to create a crowd-free experience and ensure physical distancing. Guests will have wellness screening upon arrival, and will be asked to wear face coverings and follow six-foot social distancing rules.

Camelback Lodge’s dry activities include a rock climbing wall, bumper cars, a virtual reality experience and more. Dining options include Hemispheres, Colonial Commons, Graffiti Pizza, Flyboys and Neptunes.

Mountain Adventures, which includes Pennsylvania’s only mountain coaster and zipline experiences, will reopen tomorrow, while Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark is planned to reopen on Friday, June 19 and Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark on Wednesday, July 1.

The Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark features 13 tube, body, mat, bowl, aqua launch and kiddie water slides. Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark is well known for its 37 rides, including the FlowRider surfing simulator and the Vortex & Spin Cycle duo bowl slides.

Other Poconos hotspots planning to reopen are Kalahari, on Friday, June 19, and the Great Wolf Lodge, which will end its temporary closure on Thursday, June 18.
