You can get just about anything you need from Amazon, and now that also includes medical care.
Amazon One Medical is a hybrid virtual and in-person primary care service that is opening multiple offices in North Jersey. The first care office in Edgewater Towne Center opened earlier this year. This week, a location at 371 Warren St. in Jersey City is operational. In partnership with Hackensack Meridian Health, they will open two more offices in early 2026 in Englewood and Hoboken, with more to follow at a later date.
Amazon One Medical is promising a different type of health facility, where they promise a calm space, easy online booking, and appointments where the doctor doesn’t rush you.
You’ll use an app to book appointments, renew prescriptions, message your care team, and access medical records. That means your doctors and specialists who are affiliated with Hackensack Meridian will have easy access to your history.
Amazon One Medical also offers same-day and next-day appointments for everything from cold and flu to managing more chronic conditions like diabetes.
Plus, you can see a doctor within minutes through the in-app “Treat Me Now” feature, that lets members get fast care for common issues including allergies, skin issues, urinary tract infections, and more.
“Members have been asking us to open up offices in New Jersey for some time, and we are thrilled to start caring for this community in-person and via our 24/7 virtual care, starting with our Edgewater location in collaboration with Hackensack Meridian Health, making it easier for New Jerseyans to improve their health and well-being,” says Evelyn Chu, MD, district medical director for Amazon One Medical in New Jersey.
Membership is not required to book a visit at One Medical, but provides 24/7 access to on-demand virtual care services at no extra cost.
Amazon One Medical memberships can be added as a Prime benefit for Amazon Prime members at health.amazon.com/prime for $9 per month or $99 per year, or purchased at OneMedical.com. Membership covers access to Amazon One Medical’s technology and on-demand virtual care services at no extra cost, and Amazon One Medical accepts most major insurance plans for in-person care or pre-scheduled remote visits.
Patients can find out if their insurance plan is accepted by visiting OneMedical.com/insurance and searching for their local office. Insurance is accepted but not required. In addition to its new New Jersey offices, Amazon One Medical has offices in more than 20 U.S. locations.
