When treating his young patients, Dr. Spatzner employs the Tell-Show-Do philosophy to put children at ease, and focuses on education and prevention.

“One of the reasons I love working with kids is because I can teach them about brushing and flossing and they actually listen,” says the father of a 5-year-old. “I’m a huge baseball and college sports fan, so I also love talking about sports and potential colleges with my kids.”

A graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Spatzner uses state-of-the-art technology for everything from tooth extractions and Invisalign to urgent care for toothaches and other emergency needs. He also offers two free custom sports guard days per year in the spring and fall.“Sports guards help prevent trauma to the front teeth, as well as concussions,” he says. “I can make them to match my patients’ high school colors—kids love that.
