If you’re hoping to get World Cup tickets, FIFA just announced some big news: More tickets will go on sale today. Set all your alarms for 11 am Wednesday, April 22, when all 104 matches will be on sale.
The ticket drop takes place with just 50 days before the opening games. Tickets will be allotted via a digital queue. Expect high traffic to the site. You will be able to see the matches and categories for which tickets are available, then select specific seats (or use the “Book the best seat” option). Keep in mind the tickets aren’t yours until you receive a confirmation after your payment goes through.
The ongoing Last-Minute Sales Phase runs until the end of the tournament (up until the final on Sunday, July 19) on a first-come, first-served basis. Hospitality packages are available as well.
If you still can’t get tickets, FIFA does run an official Resale/Exchange Marketplace at FIFA.com/tickets for eligible ticket holders.

The 2026 World Cup features 48 teams competing over 39 days. More than 5 million tickets have already been sold. New Jersey will host eight World Cup matches, including the final on July 19, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford – temporarily renamed New Jersey New York Stadium for the duration of the tournament.
Four national teams have selected New Jersey as their official Team Base Camp locations for the tournament.
Brazil has its sites set on the Columbia Park Training Center in Morris Twp. Brazil will play a Group Stage match at New York New Jersey Stadium on June 13.
Haiti’s Team Base Camp will be at Stockton University in Galloway. Their match on June 19 against Brazil will be at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
The headquarters for Morocco will be at The Pingry School in Basking Ridge. Morocco will face Brazil at NYNJ Stadium on June 13.
Senegal will practice at Rutgers University’s campus in Piscataway. Senegal will compete in two Group Stage matches at NYNJ Stadium, facing France on June 16 and Norway on June 22.
There has been a lot of controversy around the cost of getting to matches. New Jersey Transit tickets to NYNJ Stadium were reduced from $150 round-trip to $98 round-trip after fan backlash. American Dream, in partnership with FIFA, will offer thousands of parking spaces on match days.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul and the FIFA World Cup 2026â„¢ NYNJ Host Committee announced shuttle bus tickets to and from matches reduced from the initial $80 round-trip price to $20.

If tickets are out of reach, five towns in North Jersey will host a bunch of fan festivals: June 12 in Jersey City, June 14 in Overpeck Park in Bergen County, June 21 in Secaucus, June 24 in Newark and June 26 in East Rutherford. In NYC, the FIFA World Cup 26 NYNJ Host Committee, Telemundo and Rockefeller Center will host the official NYNJ World Cup 26 & Telemundo Fan Village at Rockefeller Center, turning the plaza into a giant watch party. The Rockefeller Center Rink will become a pop-up soccer pitch with big screens airing live matches.
You can also sign up for the Welcome World Rewards Program, which rewards you for supporting local businesses, attending community events, and exploring neighborhoods across the area. You’ll earn points through eligible activities for the chance to attend FIFA World Cup 2026â„¢ matches as guests of the NYNJ Host Committee, along with access to exclusive sports memorabilia, VIP experiences, concert tickets, merchandise, and other special rewards.

American Dream, next door to the stadium, has its own slate of events and activities, like its own fan fest events, a new Adidas flagship store and an interactive Lionel Messi experience. A new Dream Live Performing Arts Center – a 3,000-seat multi-purpose venue that will be a space for cultural programs, comedy, theater and live concerts – is opening ahead of the World Cup to hold special activations. French Montana will be the first performer on June 13, after the Brazil-Morocco match.
