
The 2026 FIFA World Cup match schedule is out and New Jersey will host 8 matches including five Group Stage games, two knockout rounds, and the World Cup Final on July 19! More than 1.2 million fans are expected to travel to the area for the Word Cup matches.
Some of the world’s most iconic soccer teams will hit the pitch at Met Life Stadium. Brazil, France, Germany, England, Senegal, Morocco, Norway, Panama and Ecuador will all play in the Group Stage matches at MetLife Stadium.
Here’s the lineup:
June 13: Brazil vs. Morocco
June 16: France vs. Senegal
June 22: Norway vs. Senegal
June 25: Ecuador vs. Germany
June 27: Panama vs. England
Met Life will also host these elimination round games:
June 30: Round of 32
July 5: Round of 16
The World Cup Final will be held at Met Life Stadium on July 19.
“This makes it official—the world is absolutely coming to New York New Jersey in size,” said Tammy Murphy, Chair of the Host Committee. “Welcoming these extraordinary teams and hosting the Final Match is both an honor and an opportunity for our entire region.”
The FIFA World Cup 2026™ NYNJ Host Committee is responsible for organizing all eight matches, including the Final, at Met Life. The committee is also behind the FIFA Fan Festival™ NYNJ at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. This is a huge public World Cup celebration space complete with NYC skyline views.
Nearly two million tickets have already been purchased, but there is a third phase yet to come that will give fans another chance to purchase tickets. The next ticketing window, the Random Selection Draw, opens 11:00 ET on December 11 and runs through 11:00 ET on January 13. Fans can enter anytime during that period and timing doesn’t affect your chances. To sign up, go to fifa.com/tickets.
