Mardi Gras, also known as Fat Tuesday, is famous for its New Orleans-style parties that mark the last night before Lent begins. Here’s where to celebrate with and without the kids:

All-You-Can-Eat Mardi Gras Dinner

Try a traditional feast that includes cornbread, chicken sausage jambalaya, seafood shrimp gumbo, jasmine rice, red beans and King Coke. There will be music, a 50/50 raffle and a gift basket auction.

Dress to impress with a Mardi Gras mask and grab your friends for a kid-free night out.

Samedi Gras 2024

The annual celebration by Celestine’s Catering Company includes authentic NOLA eats (crawfish, jambalaya, mac & cheese and cornbread), live music and free beads.

Wine & Chocolate Mardi Gras 5K
Renault Winery & Resort, Egg Harbor City
If you’re over 21, you’ll get chocolate and wine when you cross the finish line; minors will get a chocolate finisher medal. There will be music and fun pre- and post-race. Check out the Vintner Wonderland ice skating, market shopping and fire pit, too.
