From the dress or tux to the hair and makeup to the limo, prepping for prom is expensive. To help teens (or their parents) with the expenses of the season, Uber announced that new Uber Teen account users are eligible for free rides.
The teens, ages 13 to 17, can get three free rides through June 30 using the code “Yes!” The max cost per ride is $50.
Teens can schedule their rides through their own account. Or, if parents want to add their teen to the family profile, they’ll have access to built-in safety features like live trip tracking, real-time notifications, spending limits and highly-rated drivers.
In certain areas, UberX and Uber Black icons will be getting a special prom makeover.
You can schedule your prom night ride up to 90 days in advance – including checking on the UberX or Uber Black cars, or even requesting a female driver.
