Two Favorite Family-Friendly Activities Return to Van Saun County Park in Paramus

There's still time to enjoy outdoor activities before Labor Day

BERGEN COUNTY / Splash Pad

There’s lots of summer left and two popular activities are returning to Van Saun County Park.

BERGEN COUNTY / Pony Barn

After a brief hiatus, the pony ride concession has reopened by Ponies in the Park, LLC. To ride a pony, kids must be at least 2, less than 50 inches tall and under 90 pounds. Hours are 10 am to 12 pm and 1-4 pm Mondays; 11 am to 1 pm and 2-6 pm Wednesdays; and 10 am to 2 pm Saturdays and Sundays. The cost is $5 per ride.

The water splash pad has also reopened after renovations to the safety flooring, water sprinklers, and control system. The splash pad will be open daily from 10 am to 4 pm through Labor Day.

Other activities at the park include an ADA-accessible Harmony Playground with water sprinklers, tennis courts, two baseball/softball fields, catch-and-release fishing, 3 miles of walking and biking paths, lookout points along Walden Pond, picnic areas, the Bergen County Zoo, a mini train ride, the Millennium Carousel, the Washington Spring Garden County Historic Site and a dog park.

Van Saun County Park is located at 216 Forest Ave., in Paramus.
