The closest flagship stores that will open this month are in Herald Square in Midtown Manhattan and Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, Long Island. There is also a flagship store at American Dream.

Locally, Brunswick Square Mall in East Brunswick and Newport Centre in Jersey City have their stores already open for business.

Coming soon will be the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, the Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, Bridgewater Commons in Bridgewater and Garden State Plaza in Paramus.

What makes this even more fun is that children can actually touch and play with toys at the demonstration tables, snap a photo with a life-sized Geoffrey The Giraffe or walk up and down the aisles checking out all their (possible) gifts. It’s not just about winter holiday shopping, it’s about the experience.

You can get a taste of the holiday season during October, when there will be special in-store events planned. From Oct. 15 – 23 every Macy’s store will host all kinds of cool family-friendly activities and giveaways from brands like Barbie, LEGO and more.‌

“Macy’s cannot wait to bring the Toys ‘R’ Us experience to life in our stores,” said Nata Dvir, Macy’s chief merchandising officer. “We hope Toys ‘R’ Us kids of all ages discover the joy of exploration and play within our shops and families create special memories together.”
