Prom Dresses for Under $100

You don't have to break the bank to make a big impression. These pretty styles are all under $100—and sure to make her standout on her big night.

Trends to Watch

Kimberly Gambale, owner of Diane & Co., the 40-year-old Freehold, NJ boutique famous for its role in the hit show Jersey Couture, shares cant-miss trends for this prom.

• Colors: Gowns in red, white, black and nude are big.

• Embellishments: Sparkle is at a restrained level this year—look for sleek lines and understated beading instead.

• Silhouettes and hemlines: High-low hemlines are phasing out while crop top and classic mermaid-style gowns continue to be huge. Look for ball gowns to play an increasingly big role at this year’s prom.
