Specialty: Pediatric Orthopedics
For 30 years, The Pediatric Orthopedic Center has provided top-quality care for orthopedic issues involving bones, joints, and muscles. The practice treats children and adolescents with sports injuries, fractures, hip dysplasia, clubfoot and scoliosis using minimally invasive and non-surgical approaches.
“We treat each child as our own, and provide a safe return to normal activities as quickly as possible,” says Dr. Mark Rieger, founding partner and first division chief of pediatric orthopedics at Morristown Medical Center, and the only physician in the state approved on Ponseti’s website for treating clubfoot.
State-of-the-Art Technology
Nominated as “Favorite Kids’ Docs” and NJ Monthly “Top Doctors” for many years, our doctors treat patients at Goryeb Children’s Hospital, St. Clare’s, Saint Barnabas, Overlook Medical Centers, NYU Hassenfeld, and Short Hills Surgical Center. Dr. Rieger was recently honored as “Healthcare Hero Physician of the Year” by NJ Biz.
The practice uses innovative, non-operative, minimally invasive, and arthroscopic surgical techniques for rapid diagnosis and treatment. TPOC is the first in the state with low-dose radiation EOSedge Imaging, offering just 4 percent of the radiation of traditional x-rays. Other cutting-edge technologies include bioabsorbable implants to eliminate multiple surgeries, BEAR™ for ACL repair, and FIREFLY™ to maximize safety in spinal surgery.
Pioneers in Orthopedic Care
The practice includes eight pediatric orthopedists, a pediatric foot and ankle specialist, and a nationally certified orthopedic physician assistant. “We offer the resources of a world-class care center to our patients locally, and the size of our group has enabled us to become pioneers in the field of pediatric orthopedics,” he says.

“Dr. Rieger treated me for serious hip dysplasia at 7 years old and scoliosis. He also saved my sister’s life as an infant when she had a rare case of strep in her elbow. Now, he has corrected my first daughter’s trigger thumbs as a toddler, and has corrected and is currently monitoring my younger daughter’s mild case of hip dysplasia. There is no better pediatric orthopedic doctor in the tri-state area. He has a wonderful bedside manner with children and their parents, he is thorough, confident, detail oriented, supportive, and incredibly intelligent. I am so thankful for the care he provided to my sister and I, and now my own two daughters. He will always hold a special place in our lives.” – K.D., Byram
“We love Dr. Rieger’s personalized care and attention.” – J.M., Dover
“Dr. Lin is an amazing doctor and surgeon.” – S.N., Randolph
“Dr. Lin is very patient and explains every detail of your child’s procedure and post-op care. He is very accessible when you have a question.” – J.S., West Milford
“We went to Dr. Strassberg for a second opinion for our daughters altered gait as we were disappointed and unsatisfied by our initial visit with a different doctor from a different company. Our inital visit with Dr. Strassberg was very thorough. He had amazing bedside manner, explained to us throughout the whole visit; what his findings, concerns and treatment recommendations/ reasonings were. My daughter and myself felt very comfortable with him and knew immediately hat we would continue our daughters care with Dr. Strassberg. Since our initial visit, Dr. Strassberg has always given us his attention, he works with us to create a plan for our daughters plan of care. I trust him and all of his decisions/recommendations. I recommend Dr. Strassberg to anyone who is in need of pediatric orthopedics. His professionalism, compassion and focused concern for his patients is exponential and exemplifies how all doctors should practice.” – L.K., Stanhope
“Dr. Strassberg is a wonderful doctor! When my baby was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 2 months old he came highly recommended. He put my daughter at ease and of course me and my husband. He has such a light, calming personality, my daughter just stares at him while he examines her. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Strassberg and I recommend him to everyone.” – K.C., Hackettstown
“We saw Dr. Friedman when my son broke his wrist for the third time. She was amazing! She explained everything that she was doing, and immediately put my son and myself at ease.” – E.B., South Orange
“Dr. Stelma is an excellent doctor!” – A.M., Clifton
“Dr. Stelma has a great personality and she’s a great doctor!” – K.A., Highland Park
“I met Dr. D’Agostini when my son spent three weeks in the ICU department at Morristown Memorial Hospital. My son was in an accident playing lacrosse where he developed a hematoma that went septic and sent an infection to his bones along with pneumonia and a blood clot, etc. Dr. D’Agostini sat with me and my son every day while we were there walking us through every step of this horrible situation and some of it wasn’t even her department. Her follow up, intention to detail, and her amazing energy and passion for orthopedics I believe truly saved my son’s life. As our children get older and they play sports, they will get hurt. I wish there were more doctors in this world that could hold a candle to Dr. D’Agostini! She also made it a point to follow up with us on my son‘s mental health as well. No other doctors do this. She has been a blessing to our family and we will forever be grateful to her. Her name needs to be shouted from the rooftops Best Doctor Ever! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Dr. D’Agostini and be well.” – A.C., Budd Lake
“Dr. Solomon always has a good tolerance for our teenage son’s lack of amusement-not to mention he is a highly skilled surgeon who took on his complicated case last fall with confidence and ease! Dr. Solomon is one of best orthopedic surgeons we have ever encountered.” – A.H., Randolph
“Our son had to have tendon surgery when he was 3-not a super big surgery but to my husband and I, it was scary. Dr.Solomon was so nice and patient, answered all of my questions 100 times over and really took good care of our son. Our son loves visiting for follow ups. Dr. Solomon is so kind-our son talks a lot and he always takes the time to really show interest in what he has to say and took time to explain to him what was going on and included him in his care. Any time I have a question or concern, he has always put me at ease and talked to me in a way that I didn’t feel dumb for asking. After the actual surgery, he came out and stayed with us until he knew we were all ok. Our older son sustained an injury as well and he was just as awesome with him. But I will never forget how he made us feel like we were his only patient during that time. And I’ll always be grateful and appreciative for the care our son received.” – C.M., Ledgewood
