NJ's KIDZ BOP Kid

Does your 10-year-old sing and dance like Matt Martinez?

Guttenberg, NJ native, 10-year-old Matt Martinez has been selected as one of the new KIDZ BOP Kids. At 10-years-old, Matt might be the youngest KIDZ BOP Kid, but he is the true definition of an all-around artist as he can sing, dance and act.

Not only can he dance, sing and act, Matt illustrates his own comic books, writes and produces his own movies and is perfecting his special effects make-up skills.  In fact, Matt says if he weren’t a performer, he’d want to work at Marvel when he grows up.

Chances are you’ve already seen Matt and his fly dance moves in the national “Can’t Touch This” Eggo Waffle commercial, or performing to sold-out crowds as part of the NJ Nets and NY Knicks City Kids dance teams.

KIDZ BOP performed a nationwide casting call for new KIDZ BOP Kids, which happens every 3 years. Thousands of kids from across the country sent in audition videos for the KIDZ BOP team to review. From there, call backs of top kids in Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago and New Jersey are sent out. The final 12 contestants were flown to Dallas, where they went through a several day mini KIDZ BOP boot camp, learning choreography and vocals, and going through an interview process. From this group, 4 new kids were selected, which include Matt Martinez, the youngest of the bunch!

KIDZ BOP is celebrating the release of our 25th album with the introduction of the new KIDZ BOP Kids – Matt, Ashlynn, Grant, and Bredia! These super talented kids recently took over Universal Studios Hollywood to shoot the new KIDZ BOP 25 TV spot and music video, “Safe and Sound.” And, they’re helping us launch the Despicable Me 2 Minion Mayhem Super Contest.
