Kids Can Dive Into ‘Animal Crossing’ Video Game at This NJ Aquarium

Meet characters from the game and see real-life sea creatures

NINTENDO

Are your kids Animal Crossing fans? Adventure Aquarium will welcome a new experience next year based on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons video game on Nintendo Switch. In the game, players escape to a deserted island and create their own paradise. They can make tools, hunt insects, decorate their paradise, and even take in the sunset on the beach while fishing.

At the event, visitors will interact with game characters while learning more about the real-world animal kingdom from Adventure Aquarium team members. They’ll get to see sharks, sting rays, penguins, and other fish and sealife up close.

There will be a New Horizons photo opp with an aquarium-themed background and characters from the game; themed signs developed by Blathers, one of the curators of the game; character stands near several exhibits; and My Nintendo kiosks where you can check in and get My Nintendo Platinum Points.

Check the schedule for when real characters from the game will be onsite for meet-and-greets.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aquarium Tour comes to Adventure Aquarium in Camden from January 11 to February 12, 2025. The experience is available with general admission and annual membership to the aquarium.
