The Big Apple Circus is beloved for its soaring acrobats, epic stunts, comedy acts and performing dogs. The newest version of its show, “Hometown Playground,” will bring all of that plus a nod to New York City with its new based on the diverse neighborhoods and unique landmarks that make NYC special.
This year’s show features all-new acts by its cast of international circus stars, including Sofia Petrov sailing above the tent in the Aerial Orb, cartoon poodles rescued from shelters across the U.S., comedy from Sweden’s Michael Halverson, the Flying Poemas trapeze family, human fountains, contortionist Kalle Pikkhuarju and Mihret Mekonnen on the Slack Wire.
“Hometown Playground” performances are from November 8 through January 5, 2025, at the iconic Big Top in Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park, New York, NY. Tickets are on sale and include new children’s pricing.
